In an exciting development, Rosewood Hotels & Resorts has announced its entry into the Maldives with the launch of Rosewood Ranfaru in 2027. The lavish resort will be located across a private chain of islands in the South Malé Atoll, offering guests a serene getaway that can be reached via a yacht ride or a brief seaplane journey from Malé International Airport.
The property is set to feature approximately 120 beachfront and overwater villas, ranging from one to five bedrooms, each equipped with a private pool. Some of the villas will be situated on private islands, ensuring complete privacy and exclusivity. Guests will be able to indulge in a range of activities, including several specialty restaurants, swimming pools, paddle courts, and water sports. Families with children will have access to the Rosewood Explorer's Club, while the Asaya wellbeing space and fitness center will cater to those seeking wellness experiences.
Sonia Cheng, the CEO of Rosewood Hotel Group, expressed her excitement for the Maldives project, sharing the news on her Instagram: "The Rosewood Maldives is underway and I am so excited to share the news with all of you!
